DIANE PERNIÉ-born March 25, 1923 in Philadelphia, PA. She was the fifth of seven children to Dominic and Josephine Pernié. At age 18, she married the love of her life, Sam Chioforo. They were married for 71 years. Diane, or Aunt Dee as her many nephews and nieces came to know her, had a passionate optimistic zest for life. She was a beautiful hostess to countless dinner parties, with much food and many people. Anyone walking through herdoor was fed, pampered and shown love. Aunt Dee was also an accomplished seamstress, seen in the identical outfits she made for both she and Uncle Sam, tailored beautifully. She was a stylish dresser with a flair for design! In their forties they moved to Deerfield Beach, Florida. She ministered to international students, the Jewish community, and to the sick. She was a faithful prayer warrior. She was never at a loss for words or energy! Because her eyes were heaven-bound in focus, it informed how she spent her years on earth. She loved fully as she had been loved.
"O Lord, that lends me life, give me a heart replete with thankfulness." - Shakespeare, Henry VI, PA. 2
