George Brooke Hallman

January 25, 1933 — April 3, 2024

G. Brooke Hallman, 91, of Warrington, PA passed away on Wednesday April 3, 2024 surrounded by his family.

George Brooke Hallman, or Brooke, as he was fondly known, was born in Pottstown, PA to Valeria Brooke on January 25, 1933. He went to school in Pottstown before moving on to, and graduating from, Valley Forge Military Academy. He followed military school by completing an engineering degree at Johns Hopkins University.

He began his engineering career for Bethlehem Steel. He continued advancing to become the President and CEO of F. M. Weaver Steel Fabricators of Lansdale PA, and Houston, TX,  a company largely responsible for the Philadelphia and Atlantic City skylines.  

Brooke also served in the Army as 2nd Lieutenant just as the Korean Conflict was concluding. During this time, he married his hometown sweetheart, Dolores Mauger, in 1954.   While serving his country and maintaining his family,  Brooke and Dolores welcomed their children Stacy and Brooke in 1955 and 1957, respectively. After discharge from the military, the family took up residence in North Wales, PA. The children attended Germantown Academy  and  went on to successful careers as educators.  Brooke and Dolores resided in Montgomery County together for more than 65 years, before relocating to the Warrington area of Bucks County, PA in 2021.  

Brooke was a member of the Church of the Messiah in Gwynedd, PA.  He was a beloved husband, father and friend. Additionally, Brooke was an avid and accomplished swimmer, golfer, tennis player, piscatorian, dog-lover, and part-time musician.

Brooke is survived by his spouse of 69 years, Dolores, and his children Stacy (Michael) and Brooke, (Colleen).  Brooke was preceded in death by his parents.  

A memorial for Brooke will take place at Church of the Messiah located at 1001 Dekalb Pike, Lower Gwynedd, PA 19002 on Wednesday April 24, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. The memorial will be followed by a reception at Spring House Tavern.  Internment will occur in a private family ceremony at Whitemarsh Memorial Park in Horsham, PA on April 25.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any memorial donations be sent to The Alzheimer's Association.

The family extends a sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses of Jefferson Abington Hospital’s Progressive Care Unit.
