Gertrude "Trudi" A. McKee

Gertrude (Trudi) A. McKee, 99, formerly of Horsham, passed away peacefully on February 29, 2024 at Artman Home in Ambler.

Trudi was born in Pittsburgh to Gustav and Bertha Just on May 16, 1924. She graduated from Allegheny High School in 1942. She married Ralph A. McKee on January 8, 1949 in Pittsburgh. She worked in the banking industry until the birth of her children. Trudi moved with her family to Horsham in 1961. She was a member of Supplee Presbyterian Church for over 60 years where she was active in the Women’s Association and served as a volunteer in the church office. She participated in many social activities including bridge groups and bowling leagues and especially enjoyed spending time poolside with her dear friends. Trudi returned to the banking field after her children were grown, working most recently for Willow Grove Federal Savings. Trudi was devoted to her family and wide circle of friends.

 Trudi is survived by her children Judith McKee (Richard Thom) and Scott McKee (Robin); grandchildren Amanda Jarrett (Kellen), Elizabeth Thom and Thomas McKee; extended family Manuel Meléndez and her granddogs Bea and Sadie. She was predeceased in death by her husband Ralph and her brothers Gustav Just and Edward Just and her sisters Eda Piroth, Hilda Hoffman, Meta Sipe and Minna Good. 

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 6 at Supplee Presbyterian Church, 855 Welsh Road in Maple Glen. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with The Reverend Ryan Balsan of First Presbyterian Church of Ambler officiating. Burial will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.

Memorials may be given to the Benevolent Care Fund at Artman Home, 250 N. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, PA 19002. Trudi’s family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the nursing and administrative staff at Artman Home, Dr. Todd Goldberg, and Grane Hospice Care for their loving and supportive care.
