Helen Grace Nicholson

Helen Grace Nicholson, 83, formerly of Ambler passed away on October 18, 2017, at Grand View Hospital, formerly of the Luthern Community of Telford, PA. She was born in Abington and was the daughter of the late Helen and Ralph Nicholson. She grew up in Ambler and graduated from Ambler High School. Helen was employed for 32 years by GlaxoSmithKline as a communication coordinator. After retiring she was employed as tour guide for six years with Talmadge Bus Company of Philadelphia . She then went on to work for McNeill Corporation in Fort Washington for a few years before fully retiring. Helen was a faithful member of Calvary United Methodist Church all her life. She sang in the choir and was on many committees over the years. She also sang with the Ambler Community Singers for many years and was active with the Ambler Symphony writing program notes. Helen is survived by two cousins Jean Meyers, Helen Cassel and her dear friend Patricia Keen. A memorial service will be held Saturday , November 4, at Calvary United Methodist Church , 16 Park Avenue, Ambler, PA . Visitation will be from 10-10:30 a.m. followed by the service at 10:30 a.m. Internment will follow the service at Rose Hill Cemetary, Ambler, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, 164 Park Avenue, Ambler, PA. 19002 or the charity of one's choice.
