James W. Riker

James W. Riker, of Maple Glen, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2024.

Born on February 29, 1940 in Union, New Jersey to the late George Edward and Emma (née Williams) Riker. 

Jim was a 1962 graduate of Rutgers University. He worked in sales for Aris Isotoner Gloves and later for New Millennium Eyeware, finally retiring in 2014.

Jim was a longtime member of Supplee Memorial Presbyterian Church where he served in many capacities including as an usher, a member of the Stewardship & Finance Committee, and as a past Elder and Deacon. 

Jim married the former Mary Kuhl on November 11, 1962. 

Jim is survived by his loving family including his wife, Mary L. Riker; two daughters, Cindy Riker (Rev. Lory Ryan) and Candace Riker; a granddaughter, Shannon (Chadd) Spence; two great-grandchildren, Noelle and Siobhan; and his brother, Paul Riker. 

A funeral service will be held on August 29, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Supplee Memorial Presbyterian Church located at 855 E Welsh Road, Maple Glen, PA 19002 with the Rev. Lory Ryan officiating. A viewing will be held before the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jim’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
