Judith Gries

Judith A. Gries, age 76 of Spring House, PA, passed away on July 28, 2021 in Abington Jefferson Hospice in Warminster, PA.

Judy was born in Philadelphia to Warren S Jr and Ruth M (née King) Allem on March 15, 1945. She attended Upper Dublin Twp schools and graduated from that high school in 1963. She immediately went to nursing school, and was an employed registered nurse for a number of years including for Abington Memorial Hospital. Judy attained a BSN from LaSalle College, and then made a career change, attending Philadelphia University and completed their MS Taxation program with Summa Cum Laude award. She completed her work career in the 1990s with various sale tax consulting firms.

She married Dennis J Gries on May 31,1975 in East Norriton Twp and they enjoyed about 40 active fun years of marriage before ailments set in. They lived in Fort Washington until a 2004 move to Sarasota Florida, with a recent move back to Pennsylvania and residency at ACTs Spring House Estates.

Judy is survived by her husband, Dennis Gries; a son, Andrew Gries; and a daughter, Amy Goldstein (Ryan). In addition she is survived by a brother and sister by Ruth’s remarriage: Nancy Harris(Charles) and Robert Haffner (Shelly), as well as Harris Haffner, and one grandchild; Sara Goldstein. She was preceded in death by her parents, and also a brother: Ricky.

There be a graveside service held at George Washington Memorial Park at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday August 3rd, Chaplain Doug Graham of ACTs will officiate.

Memorials may be given to the organization of one’s choice.
