Judith Hugo Ledeboer, age 87, passed away on February 25, 2025 at the Masonic Village in Lafayette Hill, PA.
Judy was born on July 8, 1937 in Norristown, PA to the late Robert and Emma (née Flynn) Hugo. She was raised by her parents on Tennis Avenue in Ambler, going on to attend and graduate from Ambler High School in 1953. While in high school, Judy was a joiner and involved in many activities and organizations. She especially excelled in field hockey serving as team captain and making all league.
Following graduation from high school, she went on to work at Standard Pressed Steel where she met her husband, John “Jack” William Ledeboer, Jr. They were married on May 21, 1960 and settled in Wyncote for the 60 years. She and Jack went on to have three children and she stayed home to raise their children until she attended and graduated from Temple University in 1974 at the age of 37. She worked as the office manager for Dr. Blumberg in Elkins Park for many years. Following her time there, she worked in real estate for Long & Foster.
Judy was a devoted member of All Hallows Episcopal Church in Wyncote for over 50 years. She served as the past treasurer, a member of the vestry, and helped teach Sunday School. She was very social and enjoyed playing tennis, bowling, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of almost 65 years, John “Jack” Ledeboer, Jr.; three children, Lisa (husband Joe Vogl), Ted (late wife Fran Ledeboer), and Kristen (husband Jeff Child); eight grandchildren (Connor, Christian, Eli, Corinne, Mitchell, Tess, Wyatt, and Hayden), as well as her sister Bonnie (George Chinnici).
A funeral service honoring Judy’s life will be held on Saturday March 1, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at All Hallows Episcopal Church located at 262 Bent Road, Wyncote, PA 19095. Relatives and friends are invited to call beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the church hall until the time of the service. Interment will immediately follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Ambler, PA.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Judy’s name may be made to All Hallows Episcopal church at the above-mentioned address.
