Louis Jacob Hahn, Jr. of Ambler, PA died January 20, 2017 at Artman Home at the age of 94. He was born December 9, 1922 son of the late Louis Jacob Hahn, Sr. and Clara (Riniker) Hahn and was predeceased by wife of 67 years, Marjorie (Dougherty) Hahn. Louis was a 1941 graduate of Ambler High School and worked for the Philadelphia Inquirer for 30 years as a typesetter. He served in the US Army July, 1943 - December, 1945 a member of Co. B 3112th Signal Service Battalion, teletype operator; good conduct medal, European Service Medal and 5 bronze stars. He was a member of St Anthony Padua Church. He is survived by his son Eric Louis Hahn (Sharon), Houston Texas, and daughter Janet Marie (Joseph) Herb of Sinking Spring, PA. Also survived by sisters Jeanette Pfisterer (Charles) of Southampton, PA and Evelyn (William) Myers of New Jersey. He was predeceased by sister and brother in law Verna and Lloyd Covington of Florida. Also surviving are grandchildren Jason Herb, Joshua Herb, Nathan Hahn and Philip Hahn and great grandchildren David and Evan Hahn, nieces, nephews and his Sister-In-Law Althea Dougherty.
A funeral service will held on Wednesday January 25, 2017 at 10:30am at Shaeff-Myers Funeral Home 145 Tennis Ave, Ambler PA.
Friends and family may call after 9:30am.
Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park.
