Margit E. Neszmelyi, 75, of Pennsburg, passed away on September 4, 2021 in Philadelphia, PA.
Margit was born in Debrecen, Hungary, to Emil Benyats and Edith Labos on January 9, 1946. She went to high school in Delaware County and in Germany. She graduated from Temple University. She last worked for Thomas Jefferson University for over 24 years as Administrative Assistant to the Center for Translational Medicine. She had a life-long love of travel, opera, classical music, animals, and books.
Margit is survived by daughter Adrienne Neszmelyi-Romano, son-in-law Michael Romano, sister Erika Besznyak, and ex-husband Attila Neszmelyi. Margit Neszmelyi is preceded in death by daughter Christina Neszmelyi and sister Judith Vegy.
Visitation will be 10am-12pm, Friday, September 10, 2021 at Shaeff-Myers Funeral Home at 145 Tennis Avenue, Ambler, PA 19002. A private funeral service for family and burial will follow at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetary, Springfield, PA. Masks are required to attend the visitation and services.
