Marjorie Postle Miller

Marjorie P. Miller of Lower Gwynedd, formerly of Glenside, died January 17, 2024 at Spring House Estates. She was 100.

Born in Philadelphia to the late Albert H. and Edith Hummel Postle, she was a 1941 honor graduate of Abington High School and a graduate of Peirce School of Business Administration. She was the wife of Kenneth J. Miller.

Mrs. Miller worked as the secretary to the President of Lehigh Coal and Navigation Company and, later, to the Superintendent of Schools of Abington School District. She closed her career as proofreader of legal advertising for Montgomery Newspapers.

A former member of First Baptist Church of Glenside, Mrs. Miller taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, sang in the choir and was active in the Women’s Fellowship. She was an officer of Glenside-Weldon PTA, and a volunteer with Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts.

She is survived by a son, Arthur J. Miller of Edmond, Oklahoma, by daughters, Joan Conlon of Newtown, PA and Mary Louise Miller of Ambler, PA, and by two granddaughters, Holly Kowalski and Laura Ronaldo and two great grandsons, Jack and Ben Kowalski.
