Robert D. Hahn, Sr, of Blue Bell, PA passed away peacefully on Friday, January 14, 2022 at the age of 79.
Robert (Bob) was born and raised in Berks County, PA to his parents, Franklin Hahn and Leona Henry on September 9th, 1942. Bob graduated from Wyomissing High School Class of 1960 where he was an avid baseball player and was offered a tryout for the Pittsburgh Pirates but chose to pursue his education. Bob and his wife of 57 years, Judy, met at the University of Maryland where Bob graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1964.
Bob held various engineering and engineering management positions with Honeywell including a foreign assignment in Europe where he and his wife traveled to various countries in Western Europe. In 1997, he took an early retirement and enrolled in the College for Financial Planning, Bryn Mawr, PA. In 2001, he was awarded the CFP designation and started a career as an Independent Financial Planner.
Bob was an avid golfer at Cedarbrook Country Club for 36 years. He enjoyed basketball, tennis and bridge. In later life, his activities changed to crossword puzzles and sudoku.
Bob is survived by his wife, Judith (Judy), his sons Robert D. Hahn Jr. (Katherine) and Michael C. Hahn (Donna), his sisters Susan Rupp (David) and Kathleen Conrad (Michael). He was a devoted grandfather to Sierra and Kayla Hahn, and beloved by his nieces and nephews.
Services will be scheduled in the Spring of 2022 after the current COVID health climate has improved. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Cancer Society or Abington Hospital.
