Roberta "Bobbi" Ernst

Roberta ‘Bobbi’ Ernst, 83, a resident at Neshaminy Manor long term care facility, passed away on October 24, 2023. She was born on May 1, 1940, in Pittsburgh, PA, to Harold and Kathryn McGillis. Bobbi was a loving wife to her husband Andy Ernst, who recently passed away in May of this year.

Bobbi and Andy were married in January 1978 and enjoyed a life together that included homes in Pittsburgh, New Jersey and Lansdale, Pennsylvania. In their 46 years together, Bobbi and Andy had many things they enjoyed: house projects/redecorating, movies, their German Shepherds, cooking, baking cookies, swimming, and trips to Florida. But nothing gave Bobbi more joy than spending time with family. Bobbi loved and adored her two children Melissa (Noah) Bennett and Chris Noah and their families. No matter what was happening in Bobbi’s life, she always dropped everything to spend time with and help her family. Bobbi just lived for family time. In her final days she was surrounded by her children.

Bobbi had an amazing career as a medical professional. She managed medical offices, doctor’s practices, built a pharmacy and helped launch several new medical practices. She loved helping people and loved working with doctors and nurses. Her children often said she would have made a great doctor or nurse.

Bobbi was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Ernst, father, Harold McGillis, mother, Kathyrn (Creighton) McGillis, and brother, Robert McGillis. Bobbi is survived by children, Melissa Bennett, Chris Noah, and their spouses, Dick Bennett and Kathy Noah, as well as grandchildren, Derek Noah (wife Kelly), Justin Noah, and Zack Noah, and great grandson Brendan Noah.
