Ronald R. Jones

Ronald Jones, age 82 of Roslyn, passed away peacefully on October 7th, 2024, surrounded by his family.

Ronald was born in Abington to Paul and Dorothy Jones on October 10, 1942. He went to school at Upper Dublin High School and graduated in 1960. After High School he attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He was a talented artist and model maker. In his early days he worked at Snellenburg & Co Department store in Willow Grove designing and putting together store displays. From there he worked as a model maker at HMS associates in Willow Grove, PA then Product Dynamics Ltd in Levittown, Pa. Ron retired from Paramount where he made medical anatomy models for medical students to learn how to do specific medical procedures. He was a member of the Society of American Magicians. He also taught and performed magic with his beautiful assistant (his wife) by his side. Over the years he entertained many people, young and old.

He is survived by his wife, Marlene, of 56 years; his children Brian Jones (Traci) and Cheryl Hannings (Joe) and three grandchildren; Dan Schmiedel (Theresa); Kevin Hannings (Amy) and Lindsay Hannings (Nicholas) as well as two great grandchildren, Nicholas and Mollie and one great grandchild on the way. Ron is also survived by his brother Bruce Jones (Barbara) along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Bonnie.

Visitation will be at 9:30 am to 10:30 am. The memorial service will begin at 10:30 am at Shaeff-Myers Funeral Home. Interment will be private at a later date.
