Ruth Leah (Lebow) Boyd Miller passed away on August 5, 2018 at the age of 89. She was the oldest daughter of Maurice H. and Agnes (nee Dermit) Lebow born on July 6, 1929. Ruth graduated from Frankford High School in January 1947 and Temple University in 1950 and went on to receive her Masters in Education followed by acquiring 30 additional graduate credits to enhance her teaching career. She taught first grade in Philadelphia from 1950 to 1953 and left teaching to raise a family. Ruth returned to teaching after 10 years and taught in the School District of Upper Dublin for 30 years, first at Jarrettown Elementary School and then Sandy Run Middle School before retiring in 1993. She married Raymond L. Boyd in 1949 and had a daughter, Ruthann Boyd Heywood of Chalfont, PA and Toms River, NJ. She is also survived by her son in law, Gary D. Heywood and grandchildren Greta M. Boyd, Michael R Heywood and Megan L. Boyd. She was preceded in death by her son Richard L. Boyd and her younger sister, Jayne Lebow Haines. Ruth's husband Ray died an untimely death in 1980 after 30 very good years. In 2002 she was lucky enough to meet Luther F. Miller and they were married in a hot air balloon over Niagara Falls in 2003. They split their time between Chalfont, PA and North Fort Myers, Fl. There will be a funeral service at Whitemarsh Memorial Park Wayside Chapel, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler PA 19002 on Friday August 10, 2018 at 12 noon. Interment will follow.
