Samuel Howard Wright, Jr.

Samuel Howard Wright, Jr., 89, of Ambler/Lansdale, passed away on January 3, 2022 in Lansdale.  Samuel was born in Ambler to Samuel Howard Wright, Sr. and Mildred Wright (Brooks) on November 18, 1932. He attended Ambler High School.  He married Frances Rose Pileggi on September 6, 1958 in Ambler.

He worked in many positions at Certain Teed Corporation in Ambler and held various other maintenance and truck driving positions. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Army in tank maintenance and was awarded the Occupational Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.

Samuel is survived by a son, Samuel Howard Wright, III (Lisa) and a daughter, Deborah W. Kindt (Charles).  Three sisters preceded him in death, Marie Reddington, Eleanor Norris and Joan Laudenslager.  Samuel is also survived by 5 Grandchildren, 3 Step-Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren.

Visitation and a short service will be 1:00-2:00pm on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Shaeff- Myers Funeral Home, 145 Tennis Avenue, Ambler, PA.  A private burial will immediately follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
