Richard E. Myers joined the Shaeff-Myers Funeral Home in 1996 after graduating from Northampton County Community College with a degree in Mortuary Service. He was raised in Fort Washington and is a graduate of Upper Dublin High School. Richard is an active member of First Presbyterian Church of Ambler where he serves as both a deacon and the church sexton. He also is an active member of the Rotary Club of Ambler, Ambler Main Street, and the Kiwanis Club of Ambler. Richard serves on the annual Kiwanis Carnival and Fireworks Committee and is responsible for the annual carnival and fireworks that has been held for more than three decades. He also serves as a Fire Policeman with the Fort Washington Fire Company and is a past member of the Wissahickon Fire Company. Richard is also affiliated with the National Funeral Directors Association, Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association, and Montgomery County Funeral Directors Association. Richard is married to Susan, a middle-school teacher in the Upper Dublin School District. Together they have four children: Nicholas, Jack, Ashley, and Thomas.
Thomas R. Myers continues as the fourth generation of the Myers family to serve in the funeral home. Raised at the funeral home in Ambler, he graduated in 2018 from Wissahickon High School and went on to double major in Theology and Business from Eastern University in St. David’s, Pennsylvania. After helping in the operations of the funeral home while in college, he decided to continue in the footsteps of his father, grandfather, and great-grandfather by attending and graduating from Mercer County Community College in 2023 with a degree in funeral service. While completing his funeral service education, he served as Vice-President of Sigma Phi Sigma. He became a licensed funeral director in June of 2024. Tom is a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ambler and enjoys hunting, fly fishing, and spending time with family. He married the former Meredith King, his college sweetheart, in September of 2024. Tom is eager to carry on the Myers family legacy of caring for the greater Ambler community.
